A guy named Oscar? (Actor A!U) | CLOSED

All things considered, though Elsa favored solitude over company most of the time — an ironic feat considering her character had been forced into unwanted isolation because of her powers — there was nothing wrong with a bit of company, especially those of whom she held dear to her heart. Frozen cast included. If she were going to be honest, though, if she had even just a modicum of Anna or Olaf’s extroversion, she would have invited the entire cast and crew over to her home; there were simply times when she’d look back on web articles and YouTube videos and the like, and find herself missing her co-stars now that filming had wrapped up.

However, since she had been blessed with the exact opposite of what she hoped, she couldn’t very well muster up the courage to do so. Elsa was a follower, not a leader — a quality she found ironic in her as well, considering who she had to play in the movie.

A smile adorned the blonde’s face as she ushered her unexpected visitor inside, opening the door wide enough for her to enter.Yeah — I thought we’d be seeing each other during the weekend or something, given the Oscars soon and all that.“ Oh, the Oscars. ‘Twas every actor’s dream, really, and it was soon to be a dream come true for them, who’d been nominated for Best Picture and Best Original Song — which immediately reminded her of the fact that she’d have to perform on the day itself. Elsa held back a groan; actress as she was, there were still occasional moments of stage fright. She had signed up to act, after all, and not to sing.

With a dismissive hand gesture, she motioned for Anna to sit on her couch before she headed into the kitchen, preparing mugs of hot chocolate for them both, somewhat of a tribute to their characters who both shared a love for the sweet. It didn’t take her quite long, though; powdered cocoa seemed to be one of the most convenient inventions of man.

As she reached the living room, she handed Anna a mug.You most certainly were not interrupting anything, she jested, unless you count me reading John Green’s masterpiece and crying as anything worth interrupting.

The Oscars were approaching fast and Anna was immensely nervous. She was never the smartest, the most athletic, or the most art-sy. Anna used to be an underachiever for she had never found what she’s passionate about, until now. When she became an actor (and got a big budget first gig already), Anna had only expect Frozen to be a great movie. But with the critical acclaim and–all of the sudden–the awards and nominations, this made Anna even happier. She had never achieve something as big as this and it was overwhelming. To top it all off, more projects were coming up as people were offering her roles for future movies.

She wouldn’t trade this for a thing and, hopefully, it wouldn’t get to her head.

While she visited many other award shows, where Anna was glad she didn’t make a big fool out of herself during those times (although she did almost spill her drink on Amy Adams), The Oscars seemed different. Probably because of its high prestige and status. When you get nominated, everybody becomes impressed. Even if Frozen didn’t win, Anna would still be proud of the movie. She entered the business not with the mind-set of winning a lot of awards, she just wanted to perform, that’s all. But if the movie she’s part of wins awards, Anna wouldn’t complain.

Anna entered Elsa’s house. It had Elsa written all over it; everything was elegant just like she was, but simple at the same time. It wasn’t extravagant, like the ones Anna had seen all over E!. Maybe she should stop watching the channel before unrealistic images of a celebrity’s house were permanently ingrained to her brain.

She sat down on the couch after Elsa motioned towards it. The sofa was comfortable, living up to its modest appearance. She waited until Elsa returned with a cup of hot chocolate and Anna grinned like a chesire cat as she inhaled the sweet smell of the cocoa.

"Thank you, Elsa,” Anna said, taking a sip from the drink. The warm liquid quickly warming her tummy. It relaxes her. “You were reading John Green?” Anna had always wanted to meet the man. She read his books and loved them so much. There was an air of humor with them, but they were also emotional. Sometimes Anna would just curl herself into a ball and sob as reads his books before she goes to sleep. She even remembered auditioning for the role of Hazel for The Fault in Our Stars’ movie adaptation.

“Anything with John Green shouldn’t be interrupted.” She chuckled. “I feel bad now.”
