Just a little vent art.

Like everyone else, I am absolutely furious about how the Academy flat out disrespects animation. Here are countless artists and writers presenting you the work of their blood, sweat, and tears, and you don’t even bother to watch all of it and disregard it as ‘kid’s stuff’. How can you claim to represent motion picture art when you won’t even take one of the greatest innovative film techniques ever seriously.

How dare you.

No. Seriously guys! This is why I regret watching Oscars sometime. After reading the article I finally realized the ugly truth behind it. Animation is no fucking joke! I studied for 2 years in animation and I know how hard and painful work it is. Its not easy sitting infront of a computer modelling, sketching and animating. Animation is actually an original work by the creators. From the background scenes to the characters.

And as for considering and calling animation ‘Kids stuff’ is so wrong and rude! Animation isn’t only for children’s entertainment. Its for everyone! A story told in a whole new world. In a world where creative minds always dreamed of and thought of sharing them on the big screen with the rest of the world. 

I’m definitely not against Frozen or any other past winners of the academy. But I just don’t like the way they judge it. They just don’t take it seriously and randomly vote blindly by not watching rest of the nomination.
