This was great! Not only did Rapunzel have a mother and father and an entire kingdom to love and call her own, but she had cousins!
Her mother’s late brother had two daughters - Elsa and Anna, the Queen and Princess (respectively) of Arendelle, a land not unlike her own home in Corona.
And one of them was coming to visit! Rapunzel loved spending her time with Eugene, of course, and she and her parents had grown incredibly close, but she’d never befriended another girl her age. She’d been in her room all day getting ready, ignoring Pascal’s raised-eyebrow stares and insisting that she’d see Eugene later, after meeting her cousin.
One of the palace guards came to alert her to their guest’s arrival, accompanied by a stranger in armor bearing what Rapunzel assumed to be Arendelle’s crest. Barely able to contain her excitement, the Princess practically ran to the Palace entrance, where she was told her relative was waiting.
She halted in the archway at the sight of a young girl close to her own age, with pretty red hair in braids. Rapunzel was a little breathless, excitement swelling in her chest, but she did her best to contain it, as not to overwhelm the girl before they could even meet.
"Anna, I assume?“

Being the excitable girl Anna was, she could barely contain the happiness bubbling inside her. What’s that? What’s this? Anna constant questions probably drove the guards crazy. Even Anna thought that some of them were shooting nasty glares at her as if she was going to break or set something on fire and the only thing keeping her from doing so was them surrounding her.
Anna recalled the conversation she had with Elsa, where the Queen said that they have a cousin. They were notified just then and Anna couldn’t help but think it was great! She could make more friends and it was going to be super great to meet relatives considering how they were completely shut out from the rest of the royal family. Sadly, Elsa couldn’t come due to some problems with Arendelle’s economics, something about problems with exports and imports. It was important for Elsa to stay home, but she bid a greeting through Anna.
When she arrived, the sun was shining brightly above them, like the weather was following Anna’s gleeful emotions. A nice day in Corona indeed, and the redhead couldn’t wait to meet her cousin. After waiting for a few moments at the Palace Entrance, a girl (no older than herself) came to greet Anna. Short, spunky brown hair (cool style!) framing her bright face.
"Yup! I’m Anna,” she said happily, trying to contain the joy. “You must be my cousin, right? Rapunzel? I’m not wrong, right? Uh… right? Am I confusing? I’m sorry I’m just excited.”
